Learning for Life Programme
Aims:

Our Learning for Life Programme (LLP), Digital Citizenship, underscores the importance of using technology for positive purposes, encouraging students to harness digital tools for creativity, innovation, and social good. By empowering students with these life skills and values, the LLP prepares Riversidians to be resilient and responsible digital citizens.
Lower secondary students are provided with opportunities to explore various digital literacies such as digital note-taking for learning organisation, mind mapping for concept visualisation, information literacy for cultivation of critical thinking skills, emerging technologies like generative AI to foster innovation and video production to enhance their communication skills.

Secondary 1 students discovered how Generative AI can spark imagination, developing both creative expression and digital confidence through Canva AI.

Through discussions and presentations on gaming addiction, media influence and cyber bullying, our Secondary 2 students built the confidence to be upstanders and advocates for a safer online community.

By practising the Cornell Note-Taking method, students strengthened their ability to take structured and meaningful notes in class.

During the June holidays, students expanded their digital horizons at Republic Polytechnic, experiencing vibe coding with GitHub Copilot in Microsoft Visual Studio and developing future-ready coding confidence.
