AV Crew	Media Club

As a member of the AV crew, I have the experience of working backstage to support the various events held by the school. My first event involved supporting our school’s Speech Day. It was a challenging experience but with the amazing support of my seniors and teachers, I managed to learn meaningful lessons. I always look forward to working with the rest of the AV crew as we work hand in hand to make every school event a success. - Nur Shafeefa Binte Muhamad Mustafa	When I first joined Media Club, everything seemed new to me. I had a hard time learning the basics of photography. I saw this as a challenge that I had to overcome. My journey was not easy but thanks to my seniors and teachers, I sharpened my skills and am now more confident in presenting my work. Robotics Club	Environmental Science Club

Participating in robotics competitions and workshops can start off easy but become progressively challenging. Despite this, our club members always support one another to overcome challenges through discussions and trial and error. We learned important values such as teamwork and perseverance. We also sharpened our critical thinking skills through the process. Now, we seniors are guiding our juniors for their competitions so that they will have a great experience as well! – Nitin	In Environmental Science Club, I learned how to manage hydroponics sets. This has developed values such as responsibility in my peers and me as we have to clean and refill the water tank weekly. I also had the opportunity to prepare for the school-wide celebration for Earth Day 2023 and contributed to the creation of learning materials used to educate and inspire my school-mates to reduce their carbon footprint. My time in this CCA has taught me about how we can use Science to reduce Man’s impact on the environment. - Chee Chau King, Ehren

Badminton	Basketball

In Badminton, we learned the basic skills of badminton such as ways to swing the racket and the correct footwork. We worked closely during intensive training to prepare ourselves for competitions. While the road would be fraught with many challenges, we always put in our best efforts in all the training sessions. Even if we did not achieve our target, we know we have tried our best and we are proud of ourselves. - Yuki Lee	I’ve had such an amazing experience being in basketball! Even though the training sessions were rigorous, I saw improvements in my skills. Being in basketball also helped me make good friends whom I can trust and enjoy the CCA with. I appreciate the opportunity to help my juniors and for me to grow as a basketball player together with the team. I will never forget all the memorable and fun moments during the training sessions. - Amirah Raihanah Binte Abdul Halim
Football Football CCA will not be offered to Sec 1s in 2025	Netball

I believe that our Football team has improved in many aspects. Our ‘C’ and ‘B’ Divisions teams did well for the National School Games. Everyone looks forward to CCA training sessions and gives their all to be better players and teammates. I believe that if we continue to work hard and encourage one another, we will improve even more as individual players and as a team. Our teachers and coaches have instilled a sense of togetherness within the team and we are definitely stronger together. I am very proud to be the captain of Riverside Football! - Iqbal Haqim	I've had many memorable experiences playing netball in Riverside. Being in netball introduced me to the skills of the game and also to a new group of friends. My teammates and I have formed strong bonds and even play netball together beyond the training sessions. I experienced some highs and lows during my CCA sessions. However, with the support of my teachers and teammates, I persevered. My teammates and I always strive to do our best to achieve the goals we have set for the team. - Oh Li En
Softball

Softball has definitely made an impact on me. Becoming Vice-captain of the team has brought me out of my comfort zone. Throughout the year, the team has improved in many aspects especially in terms of skills, resilience and teamwork. The presence of teachers, coaches and my teammates has made CCA very enjoyable. My experience in BB thus far has been like a dive into an ocean of opportunity. In BB, I was given many opportunities to hone my character and be an active contributor to society. I also learned soft skills such as leadership and teamwork, and also learned technical skills like tent setting and kayaking. The memories I have made bonding with my peers through BB will be memories that I will cherish for many years to come. - Staff Sergeant Casimsiman Jared Maynard Cipriano	Being a part of GB has given me a wide range of learning experience. From our annual day camp to our badgework, my squadmates and I have gained values such as service and innovation, as well as life skills like decision-making, problem-solving and servant leadership. We know that no matter the activity we participate in, we will always get something enriching out of it. - Ananya Kiran
National Cadet Corps (Sea)	National Civil Defence Cadet Corps

Riverside NCC (Sea) has moulded me into a better person. There were many memorable events that we had participated in such as the NCC Day Parade. We trained enthusiastically for these events with hard work and passion, and the encouragement of our teachers. I am very proud of my CCA and my CCA mates. Our NCC training has trained us to display resilience and overcome whatever challenges we face in life. - Hady Matin Danial	For all our NCDCC training sessions and events such as the Precision Drill Competition, our squad always puts in our best to achieve our goals. At times, we may feel like giving up but we would still push through the challenges with much perseverance and teamwork. Through these experiences, we learned a lot about hard work and resilience and tenacity. I am very proud of everyone in the squad for not giving up and working together as a team! - Andrei

As the vice-chairperson of Riverside NPCC, I have had the privilege to lead my CCA to greater heights as well as organise key events such as the Combined Uniformed Groups Activity. This allowed me to further hone my leadership skills as well as strengthen my relationship with my fellow squadmates. Visual Arts	Choir

Visual Arts opened a window of opportunities for me to expand my passion in the arts. I am able to explore art mediums that I wouldn’t normally have a chance to use. I’ve been given opportunities to learn from amazing individuals by asking about and observing their unique styles of art. I’ve learnt more about myself and the art that I want to create and express to others. I love that in Visual Arts everyone has a role and no one is left out. - Tess Lim Xinyu	In choir, I find myself always busy yet fulfilled. I have learned more about music, singing and voice projection. I also had the chance to communicate with different types of people. I learned about my strengths and weaknesses which helped me improve myself. I have also had various exciting opportunities such as taking part in camps, performing to a live audience and making music videos! - Ananda Liew Fang Ling
Concert Band	Multi-Cultural Dance Society– Chinese Dance

Preparing for every band performance is always exciting. There are many parts to the performance but everyone never fails to come together to put up a splendid performance. Problems such as instrument mastery and pandemic measures were challenges but our band overcame these challenges with teamwork, motivating one another to give our best. My journey in Riverside Concert Band has some lows but many more highs. I would not have it any other way as it has grown me into a more resilient person. - Joey Lim Zhi Qi	I have had opportunities to learn various Chinese dances with my peers. In the process of learning these dances, we also learned a lot about our history and culture. My friends and I had to overcome all kinds of difficulties and improve our coordination as we participated in dance performances and competitions. This is significant in our journey together to be better dancers. I'm proud to be a part of Riverside's Chinese Dance! - Jiang Kai Mung
Multi-Cultural Dance Society– Indian Dance	Multi-Cultural Dance Society– Malay Dance

Indian Dance has given me many opportunities to grow as a dancer and a leader. My fellow dancers and I learned the different types of choreography for dance performances. Our training sessions that led up to our performances were sometimes fraught with challenges. However, we continued to train hard and did not give up. At the end of each day, we would still put up a riveting performance. I feel so proud to be a part of Riverside’s Indian Dance! - Anandakannan Rezma	My CCA experience with Malay Dance has been very enriching. Firstly, my CCA members are very fun to be with. I have forged many beautiful memories with them. Secondly, as the vice-chairperson of Malay Dance, I am given many opportunities to lead my fellow dancers at various events and performances. This has helped me to understand what leadership is. I am thankful for all these opportunities to pursue my passion in Malay Dance. - Naimi Irdina Binti Mohamed Isfar
Modern Dance	English Drama

It has been a great pleasure to be part of modern dance. I treasure the moments and friendship forged during CCA the most. As our dance motto goes, ‘Dance to express, not to impress’. Dancing provides me an outlet to express myself in different art forms. Being in modern dance has taught me resilience and perseverance, and helped me to sharpen my leadership skills as an individual too. - Pearlynn Chan Zi Yi	My experience in English Drama has definitely been very enriching and unforgettable, as I got to forge new bonds with my fellow members and picked up new skills, especially leadership skills. In addition, I learned other useful skills such as production management which includes looking into characters' costumes, lines, props and giving stage directions. Overall, being in Drama has been an exciting experience, and I hope that our future Drama members will also have fun during CCA sessions. - Ng Zi Hern
